This half-day course is delivered virtually, highlighting the financial considerations and best practices of disaster preparation, response, and recovery. The course is broken into two portions. The first four hours will describe the process of federal declarations, outline best practices in fiscal policies & procurement, and list common strategies for funding. The second portion of the class consists of one-hour breakout sessions where participants will learn more about their state-specific laws and processes, presented by New England financial experts and regulators.
State specific breakout sessions include: Maine, Massachusetts & Vermont.
Target Audience: New England-wide local government: Emergency Management Directors and finance officials, including: Finance Directors/Chief, Financial Officers, Town Accountants/City Auditors, Procurement Officers.
