ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (ICS-300)

This three-day Incident Command for Mid-Level Management course is designed for supervisory and management level personnel who require advanced knowledge and application of the ICS. Intermediate ICS expands on Basic ICS. It provides more description, and detail of the organization, and operation of the Incident Command System, and the management of resources. It describes the duties of all positions including Air Operations.

Main Topics Covered in this Course Include:

  • ICS Staffing and organization to include reporting and working relationships and information flow.
  • Transfer of Command
  • Unified Command functions in a multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency incident
  • ICS forms
  • Resource Management
  • Interagency mission planning and procurement

Award Credentials
Prerequisites ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (ICS-200)
This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 through ICS-200 courses, which are prerequisites for ICS-300. Students must attach copies of their ICS-100 and ICS-200 certificates (Supporting Documentation) with their online application.

Eligibility

Target Audience:

Incident personnel, who work in a management or planning capacity in an Incident Command or Multiagency Coordination Center, expected to perform in a complex incident environment.
